Freezing in Red Deer and Bouncing off the lane ropes in Calgary

It was my weekend off and the feed back that I received from both meets was that the swimmers had a lot of fun! Whether it be in the tent at Red Deer or playing cards in Calgary. It was a busy weekend for most and everyone came out of the weekend with something to be proud of. Liam was the swimmer of the weekend getting passed that 3:12 barrier in the 200 Fly by over 6 seconds and qualifying for A's in his first season with the club. It was great to see how excited the group was for him. Best times were at a premium in Red Deer (I am thinking the cold) but everyone came away with a few. Robyn was 10 seconds away from her A time in the 1500. It was Laurens last meet of the season and she swam well being close to best times in all of her events and a big best time in the breast stroke.
In Calgary the boys were what I would call streaky. All with good swims, great swims, and those that we will look back at and wish we could redo. Consistency is something that we are now going to be working on every day for the rest of the season. Brendan and Connor are inching closer and closer to the Age Group National Standards every time they swim.

Great Job!
