Summary of the rest of the Season
I talked to those that were at practice Monday night about what the rest of the season looks like. For the next 3 weeks we have Swim-a-thon this weekend. Training at Kinsmen on the holiday Monday from 10-12:30 long course. The weekend following that a select number of swimmers are invited to swim with OSC's group long course for a second practice on Saturday. ( More details to follow once finalized). Over these weeks training will be hard and focus on swimming fast and longer perfectly and more efficiently. The next weekend will be Silver Cup for everyone in the group. Then meet prep will begin for those focusing on B's with Red Deer and Cascade the being the first full weekend of June. Immediately after that is Age Group Trials with about 50% of the group there. If you do not qualify for A's at the meet, it is your last week of swimming. Then we have 3 weeks of swimming for the A swimmers going into A's in Edmonton. Qualifiers for Age Group Nats will continue on for 2 weeks until Age Group Nats. After that we have a meet in San Jose that we are trying to get a group together for.
